My Ghost Writers...
Let me introduce to you my fabulous Ghost writer the beautiful and talented Shivani Mehta. (picture from her facebook page) All the way from the Left Coast, has become one of my most precious fixtures in the store. She is the one who helped me set up the blog and keeps me in line when I get too far out there.... that is if she's not going out there with me too. :) by the way this is being written by my other ghost writer Sok (the temp while Shivani is home for the holidays) We both miss you, come back soon!!
Print the town Pink..
So After another great meeting with lots of good food we started a mini print-a-thon with Sherry here this time (to help load paper)... and Sok at the computer going nuts over the beautiful patterns and the various color pattern options! (and Me, the Real Robin drooling as the prints came out of the handy dandy wide format printer...This is a shot after printing some with
the Origami hands by Sok.
The shot to the right is Sherry
getting a little overwhelmed by Sok and I going crazy over printing more patterns... She was worried that we would stay all night again! Sherry Rousso is my Business Partner... We were childhood friends through our mothers who were best friends and partners, they sang together professionally and were known as the Harlequins.I am as happy as a clam! and by the way that is the name of one my prints. Watch those paper hands!!

Sok and Robin Print-a-Thon!!!
Hi Everyone, this is the Real Robin... my Ghost-Writer is currently on the left coast for the holidays, visiting family... but right at this moment, she is buying makeup at a mall, for her glamour shots soon to be posted on this blog...
Sooo I am having to write my own blog tonight... actually I'm having the temp ghost writer Sok type as I kinda dictate this... :) We are posting about our print-a-thon today, tonight, tomorrow... the printing and playing with prints, patterns, and colors have gone way past the fleeting hours of the night, into the wee hours of the morning... we are too giddy for words, a bit slap happy-go-lucky because of the late hour.... but we have been very productive and have been working hard printing some beautiful patterns on large format papers for the Installation project in Late January, February.... Above is a candid shot of the Real Robin, posing with all of the beautiful prints laid out all over the floor.

Tooling Around
This week has been insane at our studio. Here I am working on my latest project, a small piece of jewelry. We had a meeting for our installation last night, and while everyone was tooling around on the computers taking a break, I was also tooling around re-fashioning a bracelet a dear friend had given me. I got caught with my goggles on, which I use to do fine item work. But you can see the shop behind me, which still looks pretty even though I look industrial.

Getting Ready
We're getting ready for our big exhibit with world famous origami artist Sok Song. I can't wait to show you all what we have in store. Speaking of in store-- we have so many wonderful 'recession-friendly' Holiday items in the store right now. I love walking in every morning. I'll post photos of the mural we did on the back wall as well.

Welcome To My World
Welcome to the world of Robin Joy. I wanted to keep a log of my ideas and inspirations so that people feel connected with my gallery here in New York's West Village. Stop by if you get a chance and have some tea and chocolate with me.
